Regina’s Parisian Wedding Shower

“Happy marriages begin when we marry the ones we love, and they blossom when we love the ones we marry.” – Tom Mullen

Regina was elated when she walked through her future in-laws’ home and was surprised with a Parisian themed wedding shower. All of her closest friends and family attended. I wish Regi and Alex the best of luck, but with a future so bright with love, I know they won’t need any luck.

Jake’s First Communion

I’ve been photographing Jake for the last several years and I was so ecstatic to be taking his First Holy Communion photos. He is growing into such a bright young man, and it is always a pleasure to spend time with him.

Lissette’s new bundle of joy

“Life is a flame that is always burning itself out, but it catches fire again every time a child is born.” — George Bernard Shaw

Lissette wanted a maternity session for her second pregnancy. I like taking time not just to photograph the expectant mother, but the entire family. We were able to get some really sweet family photos of Lissette, her husband and oldest son during her shoot.

A Romantic Renewal

Weddings are wonderful, but renewals have a special place in my heart. An act of rekindling love, appreciation, and adoration, renewals are always amazingly special.

It was lovely watching not just the bride and groom interact, but witnessing how much fun their family and friends were having too.

Jake and Zack’s Hang Ten Holiday session

Who says holiday photos have to be posed around trees and fireplaces with Santas and sleds? Here in South Florida the sun is (almost!) always shining, and the beaches are open year round. Floridians live in a culture of perennial sports and summer skin, so when Jake and Zack wanted photos skateboarding on the beach for their Christmas pictures I thought – why not?

Jenny and Javier – love in motion!

There is a radiance to most newly engaged couples, yet in the case of Jenny and Javier their easy laughter and sweet smiles were incredibly touching. One of the most wonderful things about being a photographer is witnessing love in fluid motion, and when these two looked at each other adoration love was perfectly palpable.

Alexandra and Jason – A Lifetime of Love, and Laughter

I didn’t get into photography because I was into fancy gear, or was incredibly artistic – photography has clung to me since childhood because I love people. One of the things I adore about my job is meeting people and hearing their stories, and everybody appreciates a great love story.

When I saw the tender way Jason looked at Alex, and how she laughed at his jokes with her whole being their love wasn’t just clear, it was palpable. I have no doubt that these two will cherish each other for a lifetime.

8th Grade Prom

“It was the best night, never would forget how we moved, the whole place was dressed to the nines
And we were dancing, dancing, like were made of starlight.” – Taylor Swift

What a fun, lively, lovely group of teens! I had the best time photographing this group of friends before their 8th grade dance.

Felix’s Rodeo Birthday – Cowboys, Cotton Candy and Horses – oh my!

Some photographers aren’t fans of event work, they deem it ‘inartistic’ – but I enjoy it to the fullest! Meeting new people, watching families create memories, capturing great candid shots that show tender moments between different generations – event shoots hold a special place in my heart.

For Felix’s first birthday his parents planned this wild west theme to a tee – every detail was picture perfect and on theme. Everybody had a wonderful time, and I was so pleased to preserve these special memories!

Alex and Annia’s Engagement Session – Gone Country!

I often meet young couples in the course of my work. Engagement shoots are some of my favorites to do, I love the energy, affection and creativity that go into them. Nothing is better then working closely with a future bride to achieve her ideal session. Often texts and calls from my couples will go on for months prior to the shoot while we plan every minute detail. One of my most recent engagement sessions was so fun, and not just because the soon to be Mrs. Jorva was perky and playful with imagination to spare – the love between Annia and her fiancé Alex was truly palpable during their sitting, and I’m so pleased to share a sneak peek with you!
